You can try using a 54mm filter paper for the bottom of the 58mm portafilter to enhance the experience, achieving better distribution of water flow and more espresso extraction, similar to the concept of a puck screen.

In terms of safety, each 58mm espresso filter paper is made from natural virgin pulp and is chlorine-free.
